                      CRADLE Conference 2020

To mark our fifth anniversary, CRADLE is hosting a higher education research conference from 19 to 20 October 2020. The conference theme is ‘University Assessment, Learning and Teaching: New Research Directions for a Postdigital World’.

In light of the challenging times facing the Australian university sector, we recognise that people may have limited funds to attend a face-to-face conference later this year or into 2021. Therefore, CRADLE Conference 2020 will be continuing as an online event.

Registrations will be available soon. A detailed program will be forthcoming along with additional details for online attendance. For more information, please visit the conference website, cradleconference2020.org.

                      Our research

Our underpinning premise is improving learning in higher and professional education. We have three broad and intersecting research themes:

                      • assessing for learning
                      • learning in a digital world
                      • learning through, and for, work.

Our current programs of research are:

                      • academic progress and integrity
                      • assessment design (including self/peer, authentic and programmatic)
                      • feedback and feedback literacy
                      • developing evaluative judgement
                      • assessment in a digital world
                      • digital identities
                      • quality and standards.

Throughout these programs, we use cross-cutting approaches, including innovative methodological and theoretical approaches and knowledge transition. We collaborate with Deakin faculties and divisions and also work with a range of industry partners and international collaborators.
